Strange City

An AI-assisted English translation has been added to the game.

Strange City is an 18+ story-driven game with an open world that I plan to gradually expand and make more interactive over time. The game features adult content, choices, different gameplay mechanics, and a story that will continue to grow with each update.

The story follows a man whose luck with work has become so bad that he is forced to move to a place he had only ever heard rumors about.

Strange City is a city of new opportunities, where the protagonist will have to start a new life, take on a new name, and find a new job. But along the way, he will also discover that there is much more to this strange and mysterious city than what can be seen on the surface.

The game is made using Ren'Py, with visual scenes created using Koikatsu. The project consists largely of images and video sequences, which means the game is already approaching 8 GB in size.

This is a completely independent passion project created by one person. I am not a professional game developer — I simply had an idea and decided to bring it to life as well as I possibly could.

If Strange City catches your interest, I would really appreciate your feedback, comments, and ideas about what could be improved or added to the game.

And I apologize in advance for the large file size. Unfortunately, this is currently the only way I can implement some of the scenes and ideas I have planned.

UPDATE

English Language Added

The game now includes English localization. As far as I know, all major dialogue has been translated into English.

Story

• The first story arc of Strange City is now complete — but this is only the beginning of our story.
• Added a parallel storyline involving the school principal.
• Added the ability to skip the prologue when starting a new game.

New Gameplay & Improvements

• The phone interface has been partially redesigned.
• The bar has received new animations. You can now spend more time at Riv's Bar, order a beer, and have something to eat with your drink.
• Updated the directional icons used at the school.
• Working as a PE teacher has been expanded. You can now give commands to students and make them perform exercises during physical education classes.
• Added the ability to watch TV in the living room and simply spend some time relaxing.
• The TV currently includes two music and dance scenes, with more planned for the future.
• Added a library to the central district, which becomes available during the story.

New Character & Development System

After completing an additional quest, you can now bring a succubus companion into your home.

The succubus has her own development system that allows you to unlock new abilities and interactions.

To develop her abilities, you can purchase special books from the library in the central district. After buying a book, you can give it to her to read. Once she has read it, you can use a special application that appears on your phone after rescuing her to unlock new skills and abilities.

This system is still a work in progress, and I would really appreciate your feedback and ideas about how to develop it further.

For example:

• What new abilities could be added?
• What mechanics would make the system more interesting?
• What additional interactions would you like to see?
• What could be improved or changed?

The succubus also requires care and attention. You need to feed and bathe her and keep an eye on her condition. If she remains hungry for more than three days, she can die. This mechanic is still unfinished and will be improved in future updates.

Strange City is still growing. I plan to continue expanding the city, adding new locations, interactive features, storylines, characters, and gameplay mechanics as development continues.

Strange City

Strange City — сюжетная игра с открытым миром, который я планирую постепенно расширять и делать более интерактивным. В игре есть выборы, различные игровые механики и история, которая будет развиваться вместе с городом и его героями.

История рассказывает о парне, которому настолько не повезло с работой, что ему пришлось переехать в место, о котором раньше ходили лишь слухи.

Strange City — город новых возможностей, где главному герою предстоит начать новую жизнь, получить новое имя и новую работу. Но вместе с этим ему придется узнать, какие тайны скрываются за фасадом этого странного и загадочного города.

Игра создана на движке Ren'Py, а визуальные сцены выполнены с использованием Koikatsu. Проект состоит преимущественно из изображений и видеовставок, поэтому его размер уже привышает к 8 ГБ.

Это полностью творческий проект, созданный одним человеком. Я не являюсь профессиональным разработчиком — у меня появилась идея, и я решил воплотить её настолько хорошо, насколько могу.

ОБНОВЛЕНИЕ

• Добавлен английский язык. Все основные диалоги переведены.
• Первая арка истории Strange City завершена, но это лишь начало нашей истории.
• Добавлена параллельная сюжетная ветка, связанная с директором школы.
• Добавлена возможность пропустить пролог в начале игры.
• Немного изменён интерфейс телефона.
• В баре Рив добавлены новые анимации. Теперь можно более полноценно проводить время в баре, заказывать напитки и закуски.
• В школе изменены иконки, показывающие направление движения.
• В работу физруком добавлена возможность командовать учениками и заставлять их выполнять упражнения на уроках физкультуры.
• В гостиной добавлена возможность смотреть телевизор и просто проводить время, перематывая его. На данный момент доступны две музыкальные сцены с танцами.
• В ходе сюжета добавлена библиотека в центральном районе города.

Новая система развития персонажа

Теперь после выполнения дополнительного задания в доме героя может появиться новый персонаж — суккубша, с которой связана отдельная система развития и взаимодействия.

Для развития её способностей необходимо приобретать специальные книги в библиотеке центрального района города. После покупки книгу можно дать ей прочитать, а затем через специальное приложение, которое появляется в телефоне после её спасения, открывать новые навыки и возможности.

Эта система пока находится в разработке, поэтому я буду очень рад вашим идеям и предложениям:

• какие возможности можно добавить;
• какие механики улучшить;
• как сделать систему развития интереснее;
• какие дополнительные взаимодействия можно реализовать.

Также за персонажем необходимо ухаживать: кормить и следить за её состоянием. Некоторые механики пока находятся в тестовом виде и будут дорабатываться в следующих обновлениях.

Это лишь начало развития Strange City. В дальнейшем я планирую расширять город, добавлять новые локации, интерактивные возможности, сюжетные ветки и новые игровые механики.
